Creigian (Welsh Pottery) Sauce or Gravy Boat with saucer.
This lovely rustic sauce jug and saucer is the perfect vessel for hot and cold liquids alike and sure to look great on any shelf or table setting.
Reg and Jean Southcliffe set up the Southcliffe Ceramic Company in Creigiau near Cardiff in Wales in 1947. A year later they changed the name to Creigiau Pottery.
They produced domestic table and decorative wares in earthenware with incised decoration and a greyish glaze partially covering the brown body and throwing the design into relief. They also made traditional Welsh lustre ware.
In lovely condition with no chips or cracks. The Jug measures approximately 5.5cm tall, 12cm wide including the handle and 8cm deep to the spout, while the saucer measures approximately 12.5cm wide and 2cm tall.
Condition : in excellent clean condition with no damage, cracks or chips – see photos
